The Science & Craftsmanship of Wooden Carrom Boards
How RG Enterprises crafts tournament-grade carrom boards from kiln-seasoned Indian hardwood and English birch plywood, engineered for 5–6 rebounds and zero seasonal warping.
Our 6-Stage Wood Seasoning & Calibrated Assembly
Every board crafted at our Krishna Nagar, Meerut facility undergoes strict quality checkpoints before dispatch.
Timber Selection & Grading
Raw timber logs of Indian Rosewood (Sheesham) are inspected for dense grain alignment. Knots, sapwood, and internal tension are culled.
180-Day Kiln Seasoning
Wood undergoes steam-and-dry kiln seasoning at our Meerut units, reducing moisture below 8-10% to prevent warping through monsoons and dry summers.
Computerized 45° Miter Cutting
Heavy 3" to 4" frames are cut with diamond blades. Mitered corners are double-pinned with concealed dowels for lifetime frame rigidity.
Playing Surface Calibration
Multi-ply English Birch is planed with micron-level surface levelers to eliminate hollow dips, then screen-printed with regulation lines.
Hand-Knitted Wool Pockets
Corner pockets are hand-braided using multi-ply wool yarn and capped with genuine leather to cushion heavy striker hits without net breakage.
5–6 Rebound Striker Test
3 coats of satin poly-lacquer are hand-buffed. Every board is tested with a regulation 15g striker to verify 5 to 6 rebounds before carton sealing.
